On Friday afternoon, the Lady Dogs took down Austin Royals Home School in three sets, 25-14, 25-13, 25-19, in a non-district contest.
Thorndale’s teams leaders were Kyndal Robinson, who had 12 kills along with four assists and 11 digs, Abby Dickerson, who had 14 assists and four digs as well as Hadley Meadors, who had 10 assists with two aces and six digs.
Thorndale returned to district action on Tuesday night after press time when the girls traveled to Bartlett. They play next on Saturday afternoon, hosting Granger at the Bulldog Gymnasium.
The last time the two teams faced each other was on Oct. 4. The Lady Dogs swept the Lady Lions, 26-24, 25-17, 25-19.
First serve between the two teams is scheduled for 2 p.m.
With a record of 4-1, Thorndale sits in second place in District 26-2A behind undefeated Thrall, Class 2A’s fifth-ranked team in the latest Texas Girls Coaches Association’s poll.
