Thorndale High School baseball and softball teams both have post-season play right around the corner with the Lady Dogs headed to Salado on Thursday for a rematch with Harper.
The Lady Dogs faced the Hill l Country squad in the first round of the playoffs last season, beating them 25-4 in Georgetown. This year’s matchup is slightly different as Thorndale goes into the post-season as a second seed instead of a first seed like last year. The Lady Horns also have much of their roster back from the 2021 team that Thorndale saw in Williamson County last year.
First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. BULLDOGS—Thorndale baseball ended their district slate undefeated after taking down Thrall, 5-1 on Tuesday evening after press time.
The ‘Dawgs also shut out the Tigers on Friday in Williamson County, 7-0. THS senior Logan Davis struck out 12 and walked none while only allowing two hits.
Playoff information for the Bulldogs was not made available by the release of this edition of The Reporter and will be posted on social media when the opponent, date, time and location are determined.
