Mc G R E G O R —T h e sub-varsity Tigers struggled against the McGregor Bulldogs in their last game of the season that was played on the road. The final score was McGregor 32, Rockdale 7.
What JV coaches described as the red hot Bulldogs of fense star ted out strong and did not “look back for most of the night.” McGregor had a 16-0 lead at halftime.
The Tiger defense held the Bulldogs scoreless in the third but McGregor put up 16 points in the fourth.
Rockdale had some “big plays” on both sides of the ball that included Tiger Michael Calderon recovering a fumble on the goal line. Tiger receiver Eduardo Rivera was noted as a play maker in the game and freshman Cohen Razo caught a 75-yard touchdown pass from sophomore Brody Willard. This was the Tigers’ only touchdown in this game and it came in the fourth quarter. The final score was Bulldogs 32, Tigers 7.
Other Tigers that made contributions were: Greyson Williams, Kendrick Henderson, Edwin Saldana and Kaylor Eschberger.
The Junior Varsity Tiger squad ended the season at 1-9 over all.
