WACO—Last week, incoming RHS seniors Robert Owens and Tristan Galvan punched their ticket to the the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation’s state track and field meet after the two were a part of qualifying relay teams.
The two Tigers were on a sprint relay team that placed third and a mile relay squad that finished second overall in their respective race. Owens also placed fifth in the 100-meter dash.
Galvan and Owens will represent CTX 5.0, a Cameron-based track-and-field program, in Corpus Christi from July 28-31 before the two turn around and begin two-adays with the Blue-and-Gold a day later.
