Bremond’s J.T. Anthony looks to get past Flatonia’s Fidel Venegas during the two teams’ regional semi-final matchup on Friday in Rockdale. Anthony scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime to give the Tigers a 41-35 win and a trip to the regional finals against Falls City next week.
Earlier in the day, Houston’s Emery/Weiner School defeated Gainesville’s Lone Star North 48-30 in the TAPPS six-man Division I state semi-final game at Tiger Stadium.
EWS plays Lake Hill Prep of Dallas on Thursday for a shot at the state title.
