After a hot start in district play, RHS baseball hit a rough patch. They dropped both games last week on the road versus Rogers and rival C.H. Yoe in Cameron.

ROGERS— Rogers jumped out to 4-run lead in the first inning and never looked back, winning the game 10-0.

Mario Casarez started for the Blue and Gold, allowing six hits and eight runs— only two earned—in five innings, while striking out four.

Brody Willard went two for three at the plate.

CAMERON— The same early inning troubles got the Tigers behind again and they couldn’t catch up, falling to the Yoemen 15-3. Rockdale started off hot at the plate getting three runs in the top of the first, but Cameron answered with four runs of their own, then added two more in the second to take a 6-3 lead. From that point forward the Tiger bats couldn’t get anything going.

SEASON— Rockdale is now 11-8 on the season and 3-3 in one of the toughest 3A districts in the state.
