Tigers baseballers fall to Academy, 6-0

The Rockdale High School boys’ varsity baseball team held tough for a while at home against Little River-Academy last Tuesday night.

Despite giving up a leadoff home run, the Tigers kept the Bumblebees in check through the first four innings.

They went into the fifth still trailing 1-0, but then Academy started to pull away with another run, and then two in each of the sixth and seventh innings.

Rockdale bats were cold again, managing just four hits.

Mario Casarez took the loss, going five innings and allowing just four hits and two runs.
