Rockdale snapped a two-game losing streak Monday evening, taking down Caldwell 4-2 to split their series with the Hornets.
The Tigers took advantage early with Drayton Castaneda stealing a couple of bases and scoring on a Mario Casarez ground out.
Despite Caldwell tying things at one in the third, the Tigers regained the lead after getting hot on the base paths. Chase Mayfield and Traon Crawford both scored to make it 3-1.
Caldwell scored one more in the seventh, but it wasn’t enough as the Tigers held on to win.
Mario Casarez led at the mound striking out three in seven innings.
Crawford and Cruz San Migel were the only Tigers to get hits.
THIS WEEK—RHS hosted rival Cameron Tuesday and conclude their season in Lexington Friday evening.
The Tigers beat the Eagles 9-1 on April 6.
