The final day of the Rockdale/Thorndale Baseball Tournament was canceled last weekend but not before the Tigers got three games in tournament play. As with all UIL sports the baseball games have been postponed until further notice

The team went 0-3 losing to Bremond, Holland and Smithville last Thursday and Friday.

Rockdale struggled to get runs in Thursday’s 15-2 loss to Bremond. Enrique Rivera took the loss for the Tigers. He surrendered nine runs on seven hits over two innings, striking out two. Tra’on Crawford took the 9-1 loss for RHS against Holland. He lasted four innings, allowing one hit and four runs while striking out two and walking one. Ryan Blair took the hit in the Tigers’ 5-3 defeat to Smithville in the first game of the tournament. He lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out three.

DISTRICT—RHS had its first District 19-3A loss Tuesday, March 10 at Tiger Field against Lexington. The 6-0 loss gives them a 0-1 record going into the truncated season due to the COVID-19 virus. Rivera took the loss for RHS. He allowed six hits and four runs over five innings, struck out two and walked one.
