Set to host Teague Friday in opener
Body

The varsity Tigers started out fast in their scrimmage against the Robinson Rockets here at Tiger Stadium last Thursday night.

Our Tigers were victorious with a final score of 3-2.

Senior veteran starting quarterback Blaydn Barcak did what we all know he can do. He made plays with his legs and connected on big passes to sophomore receiver D’Andre Stephenson.

These Tigers have explosive capability, so Blue-and-Gold fans need to get ready for some exciting Friday night lights.

Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Hunter Hamrick noted the solid play by the defense but is concerned about the depth chart, conditioning and injuries.

Tigers Barcak, Stephenson, Za-Kobe Anderson, Carson Eoff, Gerren Marrero-Carter all showed Tiger fight in their impressive performances Thursday night.

THIS WEEK—

This Friday the Tigers host the Teague Lions in what should be an even match up. It’s the first game of the season, kick off is at 7:30 p.m.

“It will be a chess match,” Coach Hamrick said. “They are like us and have some talented skill players, we’ll see what happens.”
