The Rockdale Tigers are heading into the playoffs for the first time since 2015.
Rockdale swept their two-game series against rival Cameron Yoe High School last week, winning on the road 5-4 before win-ning at home on Senior Night, 7-6.
Fr iday night’s game against Cameron was sometimes hard to watch as the Tigers literally tried to throw the game away. Fortunately the game ended with a walk off RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Standout Jesus Bocanegra hit that RBI single that scored a hustling Stephen Goodrich.
PLAYOFFS— Rockdale will be the second play off seed and will take on the Groesbeck Goats in the bi-district round of Class 3A post-season play.
Game one w i l l b e Wednesday, game two will be Thursday and, if needed, game three will be played Friday. All games will be in Madisonville and start at 6 p.m., except for the potential Friday game that will have a 7:30 p.m. start time.
