At the end of last week, district picks for 27-2A were announced.
For the Lady Bulldogs, senior Ashley Pesl was named the district’s defensive most valuable player and sophomore Abby Dickerson was awarded sixth man of the year.
Team picks were Makayla Lafferty and Kyndal Robinson, making the first team, while Kelsey Kovar, Bailee Baker and Kinley Meadors were second team. Honorable mentions wereJ acey Paulsen and Kiera Rash.
Lady Eagle sophomores Aaliyah McBrewer, Laynie Rose and Natalie Compton made second team. Kadance Koenig and Montgomery Popham were named as honorable mentions.
For the Bulldogs, Chance Betak was named the co-defensive player of the year while Blake Roberts was picked as co-newcomer and Dean Johnson as co-sixth man of the year.
Juniors Logan Davis and Branson McCoy were selected for the first team and Cayden Nicholson was picked for the second. Jake Ivy was named as an honorable mention.
Milano sophomore Jayce Todd was award the district’s Offensive Player of the Year. Junior Weston Avrett was named to the first team while his classmates Bryson Richards and Layne Telg were named to the second team.
Honorable mentions were Gael Alcala, Ethan Gordon and Hector Munoz.
