On Friday, Reagyn Trahan announced that she plans to continue her softball career at Hill College, just north of Waco.
The Thorndale senior said that the decision to head to the Hillsboro school was basically a no-brainer.
“My decision to go to Hill was the easiest decision I have made,” she said. “Hillsboro is a small country town and reminds me of where I come from.”
“The school is the perfect size and coach (Allora Miller) has been everything I’ve been looking for from when I met her and found out what she was about.”
Trahan, who was a first team selection for District 27-2A, also said she thinks she will be more successful starting off at a junior college and has some peace of mind now that she has plans to play softball after graduating from THS in May.
“Knowing that I will be able to play softball after Thorndale is a great feeling,” she said. “I’ve been working for this since I was in t-ball.”
Her signing also means that all three Lady Dog softball seniors (Kelsey Kovar, Paris Junior College; Emilee Baker, Texas State) have a place to play following graduation.
