Thanksgiving did not slow down our men’s Tiger basketball teams. The varsity squad even got their first win of the season last week. The Tigers are now sitting on a 1-4 record for the year as district games are drawing near.
After losing to Lago Vista 66-39 and to Bartlett 52-45 on their home court, the Tigers came out against the Hearne Eagles last week with an up-tempo game plan that never let up. They were aggressive on defense and looked like a different team from previous games.
Congratulations Coach Lexima on firing up these talented Tigers! The Tigers beat the Eagles 34-21.
STANDOUTS— Key players in this victory were Bryson O’Bryant with nine points, four rebounds and three steals, Ace Taylor with eight points, three rebounds and two steals and Erik Sheppard who had four points, five rebounds, seven deflections and four steals.
COMING UP— The varsity has games coming up at home against Thorndale, as well as tournaments in Salado and Lago Vista.
