RHS senior Kaylee Criwell (middle) signed her letter of intent to play volleyball at Ranger College in Ranger. She signed her letter with her parents P.J. Williams and Stephanie Criswell at the RHS library last Wednesday. “I didn’t really expect to be where I am today,” Criswell said. “I would go to Round Rock for practices three times a week and wouldn’t get home until 11 and still had to do homework. I was also playing soccer for the school. So I’m really thankful that Ranger was interested in me.”
Criswell played for the Lady Tigers for three seasons after getting moved up to varsity mid-way through her sophomore season.
“I got together with coach (Brian) Thomas and we discussed how Kaylee had a lot of raw potential,” said Coach Jennifer Keen. “When she started playing club volleyball before her senior year, she truly blossomed as a player. I think she has really big things ahead.”
Criswell made the District 19-3A first team and was name an honorable mention on the Texas High School Coaches Association’s all-academic team.
