Milano Volunteer Fire Department held their annual chili supper, gun giveaway and auction on Saturday night and came away with lots of cash. In the photo bove, the Ladies Auxiliary raised $50,000 through their annual garage sales and, in addition, almost $39,000 from Saturday night’s events.

First Friday Coffee at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library will be held on March 1 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The sponsor for March will be the Milam County Genealogical Society. All are welcome.

ORGANIZATIONS

Rockdale Rotary Club meets the first, third and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch is provided. Rockdale Noon Lions Club also meets at RVFD on the f irst and third Wednesday of each month with lunch provided.

Rockdale Police Officers made two felony arrests during the past week including: • Cabe Chr istopher Temple, 29, Rockdale, was arrested for criminal trespass, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram).
