Have you ever been riding down Meadow Drive during the rain and wondering if your car will make it through all the water? Those days will soon be over after the City of Rockdale was awarded a Community Development Block Grant of $4,400,000 with the city adding a match of $44,620.

Thorndale ISD counselor finalist for H-E-B Excellence Awards

There was a very special pep rally held at Thorndale High School last Wednesday, and no one, other than a few administrators and the press, knew why it was being held. Everyone assumed it was for the high school boys basketball team, but they were wrong.

Luke Ten Thirty Three, Inc. is sponsoring a community giveaway of clothing, shoes, household goods, furnishings and decor on March 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the 100 block of Plum Street. There will games and prizes for kids along with a bounce house and firetruck tours.

ORGANIZATIONS

Rockdale Rotary Club meets the first, third and fourth Tuesdays of each month at the Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch is provided. Rockdale Noon Lions Club also meets at RVFD on the first and third Wednesday of each month with lunch provided.

Spring has sprung with softball, baseball, track

I apolog i z e for the absence of the Milano News. Life has gotten busy in the most unexpected ways. Spring has sprung so make sure you get out to watch a softball and/or baseball game. Those students practice a lot and their hard work is worth watching. Track is also up and running!
