POSGCD reduces production from Carrizo Aquifer

The Board of Directors of the Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District took action to reduce production from the Carrizo Aquifer by 2,500 acre feet this year at their Sept. 12 meeting.

CELEBRATING 50 YEARS

Texas Burger did brisk business on Monday celebrating their 50th anniversary by offering drawings for a baseball signed by Nolan Ryan, and special prices on their menu items like a quarter-pound Maverick burger for 99 cents and Blue Bell ice cream scoops for 49 cents.

CARS AND BARBEQUE

Hundreds of people enjoyed the annual Apache Pass Car Show and Barbecue Cook Off Friday and Saturday. The crowd enjoyed all sorts of vendors, antique and classic cars and trucks, and delicious barbecue. The Reporter was unable to get any results before press time.

The Milam County 4-H Award Program was held on Sept. 10. The All-Star Award is available to 4-H members when they are in sixth to eighth grade. Requirements may be completed in one year or over the period of time that they are an intermediate.

Rockdale PD makes felony arrest, responds to four accidents

Rockdale Police Officers made one felony arrest during the past week. • Laura Michelle Costilla, 48, Rockdale, was arrested on Monday on two counts of possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram). Accidents Ofc.
