         The Rancheria Grande Chapter of the El Camino Real de los Tejas National Trail Association will hold their next meeting on July 6 at 10 a.m.          The meeting will take place at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library.

TEXAS PARKS & WILDLIFE FISHING REPORT

Water slightly stained; 83 degrees; 0.17 feet above pool. Black bass are good to eight pounds on jigs fished in standing timber. Crappie are fair on jigs and minnows fished in 8-12 feet of water. White bass are very good on slab spoons fished over main lake humps.

Annual Liberty Homecoming set for Sunday

The annual Liberty Homecoming and Cemetery Association meeting will be held Sunday. Bring your favorite picnic lunch and enjoy visiting with friends and family. The cemetery meeting will be held at 11 a.m. with lunch shortly after.

Rockdale High School Varsity Cheerleaders spent last week at National Cheerleading Association (NCA) camp at Sam Houston State University and received the highly- coveted Herkie Award, named after the NCA founder, L.R. Herkimer.
