City needs your input for future of Rockdale

The City of Rockdale and Rockdale MDD would like your opinions on a survey concerning a comprehensive plan for Rockdale which will take us into 2050 and beyond. The comprehensive plan is the city’s guidebook to decision making over the next 15 to 20 years.

July 4th celebration to be held at Fair Park

Rockdale’s Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration will be held on Tuesday, July 4 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Fair Park. There will be live music, food and games for the kiddos. Unlimited games for only $5. Fireworks will begin at dusk.

Historical Society meets second Tuesday The Rockdale Historical Society holds their meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at the depot. “Please come to the depot to see and hear what interesting and exciting things are going on,” volunteer Pat Watson said. All are welcome.

Cheerleaders return from Cheer Camp

Milano cheerleaders and mascots have returned from Cheer Camp and they are ready for the next season of Milano sports! The students received first place at Cheer Camp in Dance. FOURTH OF JULY— Milano Four t h of July Parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. Come early and shop with the local vendors.
