The Under the Hood Show Dear Motor Medics, I’m having trouble with my 2004 Ford F150 missing again. The vehicle shakes when I am at a stop sign and sometimes when I accelerate going up a hill. The check engine light comes on and sometimes flashes as well.

Groundbreaking for Rockdale’s first master planned community, and the first new neighborhood since the 1980s, took place this morning on FM 487 at 8:30 a.m. City officials and representatives from Ranch Road Development were on hand. Construction begins tomorrow.

COLTON BRADY COUFAL, 27, of Cameron, was indicted by  the Milam County Grand Jury today for 1ST Degree Felony, Murder, of his mother, Christi Warrick Coufal on December 5, 2021. This matter was presented to the Grand Jury by the Milam County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Rangers.

Third Suspect in local shooting arrested in Bellville

Juneteenth parade, BBQ on Saturday

Rockdale’s Juneteenth Homecoming celebration will be held on Saturday, June 17, and the whole city is invited, according to organizer Henry Miller. The parade will start at the old McVoy’s store at 10 a.m.

MARC Ride raises over $56,000

The annual MARC Ride put on by The Bad to the Bone Riders raised over $56,000 to support the MARC for another year. The Bad to the Bone Riders organization provides the largest amount of money to run the center.

89th Homecoming a big hit Sunday

McVoy Grocery and Feed and the McVoy family were feted at Rockdale’s 89th annual Homecoming Celebration held at the Patterson Civic Center on Sunday. A few of the original Regeneration Singers made a second appearance and sang “God Bless America” and the Rockdale High School song.
