THANKSGIVING DINNER

The 22nd annual Thanksgiving Community Outreach Dinner was a big success on Saturday at the First Baptist Church. Organizer Pam King said they served over 650 meals and a lot of them were delivered to shut-ins, elderly, people in senior housing and people who are ill.

FIRST SALE

The Reporter happened to be at the right place at the right time to snap a photo of The Snug’s first sale when they held a soft opening during Thursday’s Sip and Shop event.

Responded to: • 405 Hazel in reference to no power and burning smell on Wednesday. RVFD shut breaker and advised homeowner to call an electrician.   • North FM 487/Rockdale West Road for a vehicle that hit a deer and was blocking the roadway.

More Thanksgiving deliciousness

Since the paper is out early this week, here are some more Thanksgiving recipes to try this year. I posted something about Thanksgiving the other day on my social media and I was very surprised at how many people don’t like mashed potatoes or dressing.

Coat drive deemed a success

Milano NHS and Gause 4-H had a very successful coat drive. I will be sending information soon on how to get a coat if you or someone you know is in need. PARADE— The Milano Christmas Parade is Dec. 10. It is a great way to see everyone and wish your community and family well.
