MDD presents plans for a vision of East Cameron Avenue Corridor

The Rockdale Municipal Development District (MDD) hired the firm Kimley Horn to come up with a design for the East Cameron Avenue Corridor and it was presented at the Patterson Civic Center at 2 p.m. Monday.

‘Christmas at the Kay’ set for Dec. 11

“Christmas at the Kay,” a yearly holiday treat, will perform its 10th show at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at the historic Kay Theater in downtown Rockdale. “Admission is free to everyone.

Phase 1 pipe replacement begins February

At last Tuesday night’s special city council meeting, special guest Professional Engineer Angie Sanchez, with the engineering firm KSA, outlined the phases of the city’s water pipe replacement project and answered questions from both the audience and council members.

Christmas events this Saturday

Don’t miss Breakfast with Santa at the Patterson Center from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday. McDonald’s is providing pancakes, milk and juice. Arts and crafts projects are included in the $5 tickets. The Christmas Craft Market will be held at Wolf Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Genealogical Society meets Tuesday

The Milam County Genealogical Society will hold their December meeting at the Lucy Hill Patterson Library in Rockdale. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. Visitors are always welcome.

5th annual Tiger Tough Event sparks continued success

On Nov. 17, nearly 300 students from over 25 schools gathered at Perry and Perry Builders (PPB) Servicing Welders Across Texas (S.W.A.T) Building to compete and earn certifications at the 5th annual Tiger Tough Certification Event.
