Four felony arrests made by RPD officers this week

Rockdale Police Officers made four felony arrests during the past week including: • Jessie Charles Mitchell, 40, Rockdale, was arrested by Sgt. Fain on a Milam County warrant for bond forfeiture/aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

FIRE CALLS

Rockdale VFD responded to: • 325 North US 77 for a fire alarm that was then cancelled. A male had burned some food. • A landing zone for PHI for a pedestrian vs. vehicle victim. • West Cameron Ave. and Bowser for a utility pole leaning over.

MILAM COUNTY JAIL LOG

Jail log lists all people charged with offenses through the county jail in Cameron. Charges may change during the process. Persons are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. • William Alan Bittle, 43, Temple, aggravated assault by public servant, sentenced to 10 years TDCHJ.

Alcoa retirees to meet June 9 in Thorndale Rockdale Alcoa Retirees will hold a meeting on Thursday, June 9 at 5 p.m. at the Thorndale Veteran’s Memorial Hall. The business meeting begins at 5:45 and then the election for officers. Meals will be $15.
