I have rules that I have to follow. For example if I start reading a book I have to finish it no matter how bad it is. I know others that have to have light switches all going the same direction. I get it, I have a little bit of Monk in me.

Rising Star to hold pastoral appreciation
Rising Star Baptist Church will hold its 14th annual Pastoral Appreciation on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. honoring Dr. R.L. and First Lady Margaret Johnson.

Rockdale officer Dillan Ford now deputy at MCSO
Former Rockdale Police Officer, Dillan Ford, is now with the Milam County Sheriff’s Department after serving the City of Rockdale for the past two years.
The Milam County Coalition consisting of Milam County government, the City of Rockdale and the City of Cameron, will now own a Quick Response Vehicle (QRV) thanks to donations from the six solar farms coming to Milam County.
Vision Historic Preservation Foundation collaborated with their architectural team, Architexas, TxDOT and Big Creek Construction to clarify design plans in front of The 1895. Work is set to begin and will correct both the accessibility of the sidewalk as well as the downstairs entrances.
