RISD gets TxDOT to add school bus warning sign

Every year in the early summer before the start of the new school year, Rockdale Independent School District officials get together to study bus routes and make any changes they deem necessary.

New event will kick off graduation week

This is an exciting time of year, especially for our seniors and their families. I am very thankful that, even though the year has not been 100% normal, the students have been able to participate in all of their normal events.

SOAR donates to American Legion

The Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees donated money to the American Legion on Thursday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Rockdale.

Thorndale ISD approves renovation project

The Thorndale Independent School District met Wednesday night and approved a contract with MRI construction, in downtown Thorndale, to complete a high school safety renovation starting June 1. “This project has been a priority on our long-term facilities plan for many years.

Rockdale officers make felony arrests

Rockdale officer Zachary Krejci made two felony arrests during the past week while officer Jeremiah Harden made one. Krejci arrested a 17-yearold Lexington resident on a warrant for credit/debit card abuse April 21 at 9:32.
