Milam County COVID-19 death toll at 36

Another COVID-19 related death has occurred bringing the Milam County death toll to 36, County Judge Steve Young reported in this daily email. "Our active infections dropped by 16 to 159," he said. There will be no COVID testing in Cameron today, due to the weather.

County offices closed

All county offices are closed Friday due to concerns about the cold weather. They will also be closed Monday for Presidents' Day.

Weather closure

On Monday all HealthPoint Clinics will be closed due to weather. On Tuesday, all HealthPoint Clinics will open at 10 am.  

Milam County death toll from COVID-19 stands at 35

Two more Milam County residents have died from COVID-19 in Milam County. This brings the death toll to 35, since the pandemic started early last year. In addition, the active cases rose again Wednesday, to 175.

Milam County sets COVID-19 record

The infections set an all-time high Tuesday at 171. This is four more than the prior record of 167 set in late December 202o. “Clearly, we have a lot of the COVID-19 virus in Milam County,” County Judge Steve Young said in his daily email.
