To sow spiritual seeds means that we do spiritual work. Spiritual work is always interior work first, even if, as a matter of course, this work becomes manifest through exterior action. What is this interior work by which we sow the seeds of the celestial within us?

The final July visit of the Central Texas Food Bank to the KC Hall parking lot was Thursday. The truck visits Rockdale every first and third Thursdays at 9 a.m. There are no eligibility requirements. Masks and social distancing are required for volunteers.

Here are results from this summer’s 4-H Record Book competition, according to County Agent Micah Holcombe: Thirty-one books entered by Milam members, with 28 books competing at district. At district, Milam County had 11 firsts, 6 seconds, 7 thirds, and 3 fourths place books.

It’s the same refrain sales tax figures have been singing since the COVID-19 Pandemic hit. We’re going to have to wait at least another month to see sales tax receipts plummet, if they do, because of the Pandemic.

For classroom learning

• Parents must not send a child to school if the student has COVID-19 symptoms (see box below) or is lab confirmed with COVID-19. • Students will be screened regularly for symptoms. Those who present symptoms will be sent home.

For remote learning

• Two types of remote learning will be in play—Asynchronous, self-paced instruction with intermittent teacher interaction; Synchronous with live, scheduled interactive classes with teachers and students in real time, teacher supported work time and timed, online tests.

From County Judge Steve Young Tuesday evening: Tuesday the Milam County Health Department was advised by a testing lab that seven nursing home tests results were invalid due to lab test contamination.  Five of those tests were for Milam County residents.
