(A tale from 2015 by Publisher Emeritis Bill Cooke.) An old classmate of mine from Rock-a-dale High in the 1950s, Ken Harris, is a retired band director living in Crawford after a successful career directing bands and writing arrangements used by school stage bands all across the country.

10-20-40-100 YEARS AGO 100 YEARS AGO… Mrs. C.M. Sessions entertained the Scrap Book Club honoring Mesdames Nell Clement of Dallas and Mrs. Lee Clark of Waco, two former members that were visiting in town. The reception rooms were beautiful in zinnias, daisies and roses of the deepest hues.
