With this being the week of Memorial Day, I thought I would share the highlights of my remarks from the Memorial Day Ceremony at the courthouse Monday. My family has a long history of military service all the way back to the Revolutionary War and before.

10-20-40-100 100 YEARS AGO… An unlocked, barred door in the “runaround” surrounding the exercising grounds was believed to have made possible the escape of two youths from the county jail in Cameron. The escaped men were Robert Pickett and Leon Fulton.
