JUDGE’S COMMENTS Last week we held the first ever Milam County Health Summit. The purpose of the summit was to gather those who deal with physical and mental health issues in the same room to raise awareness to the issues we face in the county and the resources that are available.

100 YEARS AGO… Mary Timmerman, wife of John Timmerman Sr., died at the family home in the Bushdale community, aged 76 years. Mrs. Timmerman, with her husband, were two of the oldest Milam County citizens, having settled here in 1872, before the town of Rockdale was established.
