Mark your calendars for the 23rd annual MARC Ride brought to you by The Bad to the Bone Riders. This year’s ride will take place on Saturday, June 8, at The Ranch and benefits the MARC Center which serves Milam County adults with physical and learning disabilities.

MARC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which depends on this fundraiser as a major resource to keep serving the consumers who attend the center. Consumers learn valuable life skills that most people take for granted in day-to-day life.

The MARC Ride has donated 100 per cent of the proceeds from these fundraisers to the center. Last year’s ride made $56,000 for the MARC Center and a 23-year grand total of $436,480.82.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the first bikes will leave at 11 a.m. with stops at sponsors Cyndi’s Hawg Hang Out, Cliff’s Tavern, VFW Post 6525 and back to The Ranch.

The ride fee is $20 per rider and $25 with a passenger.

A barbecue meal will be prepared by Kathy Quinney and Linda Crane along with many other volunteers. After the meal, there will be a live auction, a 50/50 drawing and door prizes. John and Kay Fisher will be the auctioneers.
