‘LITTLE DIGGERS’—

YOUTH SOCCER—
Final registration for Gause Youth Soccer is 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at Gause Elementary School. Registration fee is $40 per player. Games begin in Cameron on Sept. 22.

SOWELL PICKERS—
The Milano Senior Citizens annual fundraiser is set for 7:30 pm. Sept. 8 at the Milano Civic Center. The Family Sowell Pickers will be playing bluegrass and gospel music.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and $17.50 for a family. Call Jane Friedrichs at 512-455-9560 for tickets, there is also opportunity to buy tickets at the door. Concessions will be sold starting at 6:30 p.m. Items for sale will include a variety of sandwiches, pies and chips, coffee, tea, sodas and water.
MS RALLY—The annual Kristi’s Krusaders MS Rally for a Cure event will be held Sept. 8 at Nat’s in Milano. This one will be for Kristi (Bode). The event will include a motorcycle run, barbecue meal, live auction, a raffle, 50/50 drawing, T-shirt sales and live music from both Brooke Graham and Chris Kleiber.

GARAGE SALE—Milano Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary’s fall garage sale is set for Oct. 4-6 at the fire station, 305 E Avenue C. The group is now accepting donations and can be contacted for pick up.

SUNFLOWER 5K— The first Sunflower/Melodie Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund 5K run/walk and kids one-mile fun run/walk is set for Sept. 29 at Davidson Creek Park in Caldwell. The event is in honor of Melodie Jones who died in a car accident in 2017.
Registration is $30 for the 5K and $25 for the kids run. Online registration is at www.melodiesmeow.com.Same day registration is 7:30-8:15 a.m. The kids run will start at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K is scheduled for 9 a.m.
