BOOK SIGNING AT LIBRARY

—A turnout of more than 40 people listen as longtime local pastor and educator Dr. Dennis Brooks reads from his book, “A Church Named Ruth,” Thursday evening at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial (city) Library. The book is about the book of Ruth in the Old Testament. Dr. Brooks also held a book-signing after his talk. The event was catered by Sho ‘Nuff Soul Food. Dr. Brooks is senior pastor and founder of New Jerusalem Interdenominational Church, founder and president of the Institute for Teaching God’s Word Theological Seminary, and the American Academy of Crisis Counseling.
