Meadowbrook choir’s cantata set Sunday
The choir of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 1401 Colorado, will present its annual Easter Cantata during 11 a.m. worship Sunday, April 8, according to Pastor Steve Ammons.
“All are invited to come, bring a friend and hear ‘The Cross Changes Everything’,” Pastor Ammons said.

Shiloh Baptist plans youth talent show
THRALL—First Shiloh Baptist Church, 100 CR 481, Thrall, will stage a youth talent show and ice cream social at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 28 with youth (age 25 and under) invited to participate.
Auditions for the show will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14.
Proceeds from the show will go to the church’s Family Life Center building fund.

First Assembly to hold revival Friday-Sunday
First Assembly of God, 310 Childress Street in Rockdale (next door to the high school) invites the community to attend a revival this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 6-7-8.
Friday and Saturday services will start at 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday service will be at 11 a.m.

Thrall church plans polka worship April 15
THRALL—St. John Lutheran Church of Thrall will hold a polka worship service at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, April 15 with music by the Praha Brothers Polka Band.
The public is invited. Following the worship service, a chicken fried steak meal with all the trimmings will be served. Tickets are $10 each. A silent auction will also be held.

Alliance sets Prayer Day, Baccalaureate service
Rockdale Ministerial Alliance will sponsor two more events this year, according to Ken Ansell, president.
National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 3. Time and place of local observance is still to be determined.
A Baccalaureate service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, hosted by Meadowbrook Baptist Church.
“All RHS seniors and their families are invited to attend in cap and gown,” Ansell said. “Meadowbrook Baptist, the host church, will provide the music as well.”
Rev. Ansell, a former Tiger and RHS graduate, will provide the message with several students from the class of 2018 participating.
Thorndale church sets BBQ chicken on May 6
THORNDALE—Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Thorndale will serve a BBQ chicken dinner on Sunday, May 6 at Thorndale Fireman’s Hall, according to Patricia Hawthorne, spokesperson.
