Crossroads Church sets back-to-school Aug. 4th on clothing, baked goods
Crossroads Bible Church will have a Back-to-School Clothes Closet Sale and Bake Sale on Saturday, Aug. 4 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
“Gently used clothing and shoes for children and adults will be available as well as some new items,” said Pastor David Kaufmann. “All proceeds will go to fund church projects.”

Rockdale Christiandonating school supplies
Rockdale Christian Church, 1406 Sager, will donate school supplies for 15 students who will be in kindergarten and first grade for the coming school year.
Minister Harry Stevenson said the supplies will include backpacks and needed supplies for enrollment as listed by the Rockdale ISD administration.
“If you are in need of these items please call 512-446-2568 as soon as possible to reserve one for your child,” he said. “This is a fi rst-come, fi rst-serve basis and deadline will be 5 days before school starts.”
Forest Grove Church revival to start Sunday
Forest Grove Christian Church will hold its annual revival beginning Sunday, July 29 and continuing through Friday, Aug. 3, according to Lance Walch, minister.
Service times will be as follows:
Sunday, July 29—11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Monday through Friday, July 30-Aug. 3—7 p.m.
Guest speaker will be Rodney McGee from Hill Country Fellowship in Bur-net.

Rising Star BC to launch substance abuse program
All are invited to attend a Substance Abuse program grand opening at Rising Star Baptist Church, 1055 Texas Street, at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2. Lunch will be served.

Two-church VBS set July 30-Aug. 2
St. John’s United Methodist Church and Peace Lutheran Church of Rock-dale will again hold a joint Vacation Bible School.
Dates are Monday through Thursday, July 30-Aug. 2, from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. Location is St. John UMC, Summit at Hillcrest streets.
Theme is Rolling River Rampage—Experience the Ride of a Lifetime with God.

Presbyterians list summer activities
Summer schedule at First Presbyterian Church, 1600 Alcoa in Rockdale, includes Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m. with a coffee gathering held the hour before.
Weekly Bible Study is led by Pastor David Pussman at 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays.
FPC is donating water goggles to the “Community Summer Splash” event Friday, July 27 at Rockdale municipal swimming pool, co-sponsored by the City and the RISD PTO.
FPC’s fourth annual outdoor ice cream social, open to all, will be held Sunday, Aug. 19.
