Crossroads church sets BBQ fund-raiser Saturday
On Saturday, June 9, Crossroads Bible Church will hold a barbecue fund-raiser to support summer events for the church’s young people, including summer camp and Girls in Action (GA) and Royal Ambassadors (RA) activities.
The fund-raiser will be at the Rockdale City Hall parking lot from 9 a.m. until sold out and will include a barbecue pulled pork sandwich or two sausage wraps for $5. There will also be full meal deals and baked goods available for an additional cost.

Mt. Zion Baptist Church homecoming Sunday
The annual homecoming service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Rockdale, will be on Sunday, June 10, Pastor Luther Shelander has announced. Bible study will be at 9:45 a.m. with worship at 11 a.m. A potluck lunch will follow.
Bro. David Reaves, serving at First Baptist Church, Salado, will be guest speaker. Mt. Zion is located at 3739 FM 1712, Rockdale.
FAITH CAMP (VBS)—Mt. Zion Baptist Church will hold its Faith Camp (VBS) Monday through Thursday, June 18 -21. Hours will be 8:30 until 11:30 a.m. Ages 5 through high school are welcome.
Cowboy Church VBS
Milam County Cowboy Church is holding its Vacation Bible School this week Wednesday through Saturday, June 6-9, with the theme “Maker Fun Factory.”
Hours Wednesday through Friday are 6 until 9 p.m. and Saturday’s hours will be 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

New Jerusalem VBS
“Babylon—Daniel’s Courage on Captivity“ is the theme for Vacation Bible School at New Jerusalem Interdenominational Church, 103 Mulberry St., Rockdale, Dr. Dennis Brooks Sr., pastor.
VBS will be Monday through Friday, June 25-29 from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m.

Murray Street VBS
Murray Street Church of Christ in Rockdale has scheduled Vacation Bible School July 16-19, themed “Back to the Bible” after the movie series “Back to the Future.” Hours will be from 6 until 8:45 p.m., with meal at 5:15 p.m.
VBS will have classes for all ages. “Come ride along as we take our ‘DeLorean’ to Bible Times to learn about obedience, teamwork, self-control and forgiveness,” said Jason Hale, youth and music minister.
Rising Star VBS
Rising Star Baptist Church, 1055 Texas Street, has scheduled its annual Vacation Bible School for Monday through Friday, July 9-13, according to Jo Ann Bradford, spokesperson.
Theme for the VBS will be “Game On,” she said. Hours will be from 5 until 7:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served each day.
Shiloh Baptist VBS
First Shiloh Baptist Church, 100 CR 481, Thrall, will hold VBS June 18-22, according to Diana Casario, spokesperson.
Theme is “Gear Up! Get Ready! Game On!” Featured will be games, crafts, Bible stories, songs, movie and more. Ages 4 through high school welcome.
