RSBC Choir Concert, Musicians Appreciation set for 7 p.m. Saturday
Rising Star Baptist Church will present a Choir Concert and Musicians Appreciation program at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 23. The event will be held at the church, 1055 Texas Street in Rockdale.
Featured will be the Rising Star Baptist Church Music Ministry, directed by JoAnn Bradford, with Guest soloist/musician Jon Olivarez of Austin.
Tickets are $5 each and available from RSBC members and will also be sold at the doors on the night of the event.

Liberty homecoming, cemetery meeting July 1
The annual Liberty Homecoming and Cemetery Association meeting will be held Sunday, July 1, according to Judy York, secretary.
The Liberty Church is providing a noon meal for anyone attending the Homecoming and Cemetery Association meeting.
“For those who have loved ones buried there, or if you are originally from that area, we would be delighted to have you join us,” York said. “Just come and enjoy the good food, fellowship and business meeting,” she added.
“This is the time you have the opportunity to help support the upkeep of the cemetery,” she added. “Looking forward to seeing and visiting with you there.”
New Jerusalem VBS set here June 25-29
“Babylon—Daniel’s Courage on Captivity“ is the theme for Vacation Bible School at New Jerusalem Interdenominational Church, 103 Mulberry St., Rockdale, Dr. Dennis Brooks Sr., pastor.
VBS will be Monday through Friday, June 25-29 from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m.
Ages 3 years to 11 years welcome.

Rising Star Baptist sets VBS set for July 9-13
Rising Star Baptist Church, 1055 Texas Street, has scheduled its annual Vacation Bible School for Monday through Friday, July 9-13, according to Jo Ann Bradford, spokesperson.
Theme for the VBS will be “Game On,” she said. Hours will be from 5 until 7:30 p.m. and refreshments will be served each day.
Murray Street VBS planned July 16-19
Murray Street Church of Christ in Rockdale has scheduled Vacation Bible School July 16-19, themed “Back to the Bible” after the movie series “Back to the Future.” Hours will be from 6 until 8:45 p.m., with meal at 5:15 p.m.
VBS will have classes for all ages. “Come ride along as we take our ‘DeLorean’ to Bible Times to learn about obedience, teamwork, self-control and forgiveness,” said Jason Hale, youth and music minister.
Mt. Zion Thorndale revival July 11-12-13
