The Williamson County Sheriff’s Department Cold Case Unit continues to seek information on the murder of a 15-year-old Rockdale High School sophomore 19 years ago.
On Feb. 19, 1999, Sonya Wallace left her Rockdale home to walk to the post office four blocks away.
Three weeks later her body was found in a drainage ditch in Williamson County. The unsolved case has been the topic of numerous Reporter articles through the years.
It is one of 11 working cases for the Williamson County Cold Case unit.
