Milam County 4-H partnered with Milam Community Theater to offer a Youth Theater Day Camp. The camp was held on Tuesday, July 9, at the Williams Civic Center. Youth aged 5-18 attended. The youth learned about theater and performing arts such as props, costumes, makeup, stage lingo, lights/sound and more! In the afternoon, directors prepared a small performance for the community as well as family and friends. The youth ages 5-8 performed “A Lamb’s Tale” by Kathe Holen, and included Paisley Fuchs, Vivian Janke, Arabella Lehman, Silas Locke, Scarlett McMurtray, Mary Porterfield, Max Porterfield, and Penny Stone. Director was Chloe Kaufmann. The youth ages 9-11 performed “The Pirate Treasure” by Andy Pavey. Performers were Abbie Basonic, Wyatt Furmage, Mackenzie Holcombe, James Holcombe, Elijah Locke and Samaria Sandlin. Director was Ariel Weaver. Ages 12 and up performed “Go Back for Murder” an Agatha Christie play. Performers included Maddie Basonic, Macelyn Furmage, Hailey Raymond, Savannah Shelander, Christopher Skala, and Kaylee Wallace. Director was Denise Larsen.
