—This new 30-foot flag pole bearing Old Glory will be dedicated Tuesday, April 24, at the Rock-dale High School baseball field, prior to Tigers playing Jarrell. The 1962 Rockdale American Legion baseball team donated the flag pole and the existing 25-pole now flies the Texas flag adjacent to Old Glory, just outside the center field fence. Perry & Perry Builders donated the pole installation and Rockdale Signs & Photography provided signage recognizing the ’62 Legion team that finished second in the state Amercan Legion Baseball Tournament. The short dedication on April 24 will be held after the RHS team’s seniors and their parents are recognized.
