The Kay Theatre Foundation will host a celebration honoring the late Leona Applegate, and other founding supporters, at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 29.
Open to the public, the afternoon will include a reception with light refreshments and a movie.
The Communities in Concert Band will perform and the Thursday Reading Club, of which Applegate was a member, will serve.
Bob Burnett, board spokesman, said a memorial honoring Applegate “for her numerous contributions and support” will be unveiled.
A plaque honoring founding Kay Theatre supporters will also be featured.
“The program will include a brief history of the 70-year-old-plus facility, its restoration, beginning in 2004, and other events, according to Burnett.
