CAMERON—The annual Milam County Junior Livestock Show, which was to have begun Wednesday (March 25) has been canceled.
Directors announced on Thursday, as a Declaration of Disaster was declared by County Judge Steve Young, that the show—which with the October Rockdale Fair— is one of the two main competitive events for FFA and 4-H youth in the county.
The event was to have run through Saturday evening and ended with the annual livestock auction.
In the days prior to Thursday officials had thought about holding a “no crowds” event with only the young exhibitors, judges and animals present.
Site would have been the Youth Exposition Building.
