In 4-H, the 4-H youth are asked to lead and coordinate service projects in their clubs and county wide which helps them with 4-H recordbooks, awards and eventually scholarships. This year, Brady Barton, Hampton Barton, Kenan Mingus, and Karsyn Mingus are coordinating the 4-H Love a Pet Service Project.

The purpose of this project is to collect items monthly for the Milam Touch of Love Animal Shelter in Cameron. The animal shelter needs many different items which can be dropped off at the Milam County Extension office, brought to 4-H meetings or contact the Bartons or Mingus families to pick them up.

Items include: Dog and cat food (any kind), collars , leashes, dog and cat toys, blankets, Clorox Bleach and monetary donations.

We do ask that the collars, leashes, dog and cat toys, and blankets be in new condition.
