DRIPPING SPRINGS—Emily Elizabeth McCoy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McCoy of Rockdale, and Colton Ryker Shelton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Shelton of Cameron, were united in marriage on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, in a beautiful outdoors double-ring ceremony held at Vista West Ranch in Dripping Springs, with Cade Pharis officiating the ceremony.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted down the aisle by her father, the bride wore a stunning, white 1920’s deco inspired sheath style gown.
The sophisticated gown featured a V-neck with beaded straps, intricate details of delicate hand-stitched bead work and sequin design over bodice and throughout the gown. The bottom of the dress was adorned with sheer panels, embellished with elaborate bead designs for a soft overall illusion.
Her gown was accented by her elegant seven-foot chapel style veil, in soft white tulle and her ensemble included classic silhouette heels by Betsy Johnson with jewel, pearl and beaded embellishments, Swarovski crystal dangle earrings, her maternal grandmother’s heirloom aquamarine and diamond ring and a white fur bolero jacket with rhinestone clasp.
The bride carried an elegant cascading bouquet, featuring rich tones captured in a variety of flowers, surrounded by variations of greenery and highlighted by delicate feather accents and soft cattails.
The bride was attended by Shelby Newton as maid of honor with Alyssa Laubacher and Sutton Shelton, sister of the groom as bridesmaids.
The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore varying designs of emerald green full-length dresses with black accessories and carried bouquets of rich tones in florals and greenery with feather accents. Caitlin Praesel, cousin of the bride and Gracie Shelton, cousin of the groom served as wedding attendants.
The groom wore a classic black tuxedo, featuring all black accessories with a touch of emerald green in the pocket. To compliment his attire, he wore a boutonnière of greenery, succulents and two white rose buds.
Standing as best man was Dillon Shelton, brother of the groom. Michael Shelton, father of the groom, Nick Burris, Adam McCoy, brother of the bride, and Evan McCoy, brother of the bride, served as groomsmen with Max Shelton, cousin of the groom, serving as ring bearer. Each wore black tuxedos, with all black accessories and an emerald green pocket square, highlighted by a boutonnière of greenery.
Noah Andress, Zach Andress and Brady Shelton, cousins of the groom, served as ushers.
Following the ceremony, family and friends enjoyed cocktail hour in the Biergarten, followed by a reception with dinner and dancing. The bride and groom made their exit in a 2020 Corvette, after a magical snow send-off by the waterfall.
