Milam Community Theater’s production of “The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged)” opened to a sold-out house last Saturday and the audience loved it.

“It’s an absolute riot,” one of Saturday’s patrons said. “Super talented and hilarious actors. The audience went wild!”

“Great performance! Great for Milam County!” said another. “Super enjoyable, lots of laughs. Bravo!”

The irreverent, fastpaced romp through the Bard’s works takes the audience from “Romeo and Juilette” to “Hamlet,” and touches on the remaining 35 plays in 97 minutes…or less.

The Today Show said, “If you love Shakespeare, you’ll like this show. If you hate Shakespeare, you’ll love this show!”

“It is a boisterous and bawdy frolic that features three actors (Kelita Thomas, Seth Tyson and Kalib Teetz) who attempt to re-create many of Shakespeare’s iconic characters including Macbeth, Hamlet, Othello, Lear and so many others,” said director Richard Stone.

Plenty of tickets remain for the shows this weekend. Performances are 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Williams Civic Center, 408 Columbus in Cameron. Tickets are available in advance under the “Box Office” tab on the theater’s website (milamcommunitytheater. com) or at the door.
