—Meadowbrook Baptist Church hosted Vacation Bible School last week, with the theme “Lifeway’s Game On.” Forty-one children attended along with 33 adult and teen volunteers. “The children learned Bible stories, scripture, songs and new games, and played Pac Man between the pews on a rainy Tuesday,” said Terry Dennis, director. “They also enjoyed snacks, made creative crafts and, most importantly, learned Jesus cares,” he added. A mission offering will go to New Day Orphanage in Zambia, Africa. Pastor Stephen Ammons was host and worship leader. Shaun Bradshaw, associate pastor of youth, won the mascot dance-off at the Wednesday evening Family Fun Night.
