Milam County 4-H members received $43,500 in scholarships last week.
Seven 4-H members received $500 in scholarship from the Milam County 4-H Foundation Chris Holcombe Memorial Scholarship.
They are Jacob Barron, Garrett Bernstein, Heath Hollas, Kassidy Hundle, Rebecca Kostroun, Abbigail Miller and Jacob Pedroza.
Texas 4-H Foundations were also awarded through an online Texas 4-H Celebration assembly.
Miller received a Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Scholarship in the amount of $20,000.
Kostroun received a $10,000 Richard Wallrath Education Foundation scholarship.
Hollas received a $5,000 Davidson Foundation scholarship.
Bernstein received a $5,000 Dickson-Allen Foundation scholarship.
These scholars had to do an intensive scholarship application (including 3 essays), and this year they had to do a scholarship video for their interview because interviews were canceled.
We are super proud of these seniors and their accomplishments. They have all succeeded in the 4-H program and have served as teen leaders in multiple capacities.
We will miss them all so much as they go to college next year.
