Milam County 4-H’ers successful at stock shows

Milam County 4-H’ers have been extremely successful throughout the fall stock show season. Starting off in the heifer show at the Heart of Texas Fair in Waco, Wacey Butler was first in his class and Wylie Butler placed second with beefmaster heifers.

At the State Fair of Texas, Kenan Mingus placed second in her class of crossbred barrows qualifying her for the prestigious State Fair of Texas Auction. Landree Leifeste placed fourth in class with her American Steer qualifying her for the sale as well.

Moving to livestock judging, our senior team of livestock judgers placed fourth out of more than 150 teams at the State Fair of Texas.
