Reading club holds October meeting
Body

The October meeting of the Thursday Reading Club was hosted by Annette Stone and her daughter, Amie Stone King, at the Lucy Hill Patterson Library. Fall decor and many items made by Mrs. Stone were used and the refreshments featured fall touches. Another guest was Terry Owens, daughter of Wilma Owens.

In the business meeting, the members planned foods and decorations for the November First Friday at the Library which they will host on Nov. 3.

The program was given by Geri Burnett and her book review was of “The Riviera House,” by Natasha Lester following the year’s theme of Women’s Words of Wisdom. The main theme was of Parisians dangerously working as spies trying to track and save the artwork in the city that was stolen by the Nazis during World War II.

The next meeting will be hosted by Diana Graves and the program will be given by Wilma Owens on “The Ride of Her Life,” by Elizabeth Letts. Peggy Cooke, reporter.
